FAQs

Can churches really get grant funding for security training?

Yes. Many churches qualify for grants through programs like the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP), which can cover costs for training, planning, and physical security improvements. We help churches apply.

Who applies for the grant — the church or BHS?

The church is the applicant, but BHS Tactics & Consulting provides all the supporting documents, including a vulnerability assessment, training proposal, and budget breakdown.

What is the application process like?

We walk you through it. You’ll need a 501(c)(3) letter, a vulnerability assessment (we provide), and a security plan with proposed training (we provide that too). We'll explain every step.

What services does grant funding cover?

Grant funds can cover security training, emergency planning, active threat drills, de-escalation workshops, and even protective equipment. All of BHS’s training packages are grant-eligible.

How much funding can we request?

Under federal programs like NSGP, eligible churches can receive up to $150,000 per site. Most of our partner churches apply for $3,000–$10,000 depending on their scope of work.

Do you offer free assessments or consultations?

Yes. We offer a free vulnerability assessment and grant-readiness consult to churches interested in applying. There's no obligation to move forward — just helpful guidance.
